Transcription: Almost immediately, Galileo discovered the first moon of an asteroid. Ida's satellite was found in both a camera frame and an infrared scan. The one-mile diameter satellite, later named Dactyl, was estimated to be about 60 miles from the center of the asteroid, in a roughly circular orbit.
